Hombuja, 30th October 2019: During the period around Deepawali the new yield would have started growing up. Symbolically part of the paddy buds (Battada TeneKadaru – ಬತ್ತದ ತೆನೆಕದರು) of new yield is cut, brought in a Palanquin / Pallakki (ಪಲ್ಲಕ್ಕಿ) and offered to the God during this period before the yield is used for other purposes. This ritual called as “Battada TeneKadaru Taruvudu – ಬತ್ತದ ತೆನೆಕದರು ತರುವುದು’ was performed at Sri Kshetra Hombuja / Humcha under the guidance His Holiness SwastiSri Dr. Deveendrakeerthi Bhattarakha Swamiji.
